About me

I am a self taught artist, who has been drawing for over 25 years, and more recently have started using pastels to bring color to my work.

The artist in me started to appear right around my freshman years of High School. Oddly enough, it all started with simple NHL team logos drawn all over my notebooks. From there, I started moving onto a little more complicated work like animated characters. By the time I had graduated High School, and a few years of art class, my drawing pads were filled with drawings ranging from Mickey Mouse, Garfield, to even Speed Racer. These drawings did help me with one important thing. Training my eyes to look at something on paper, or a photo, and bring it to paper. Very little did I draw something outside the usual animated characters, but it was during this time I did little landscape pieces.

After several years of being away from drawing, I decided to come back, but only little drawings here and there. It wasn't until my children came along that drove me back. It was them, and the encouragement from my wife, and family, that I decided to get serious. I did a few landscape pieces, and in the fall of 2010, I entered my first juried art show at the Elk Grove library with my piece  Mountainview. Though I did not win an award, I was pleasantly surprised when it sold.

While I am still currently new into the world of landscapes, every day brings a new experience to my artwork.

I currently live in Elk Grove, Il along with my wife, and two children. I am a member of the Elk Grove Artist Association, and my work can be seen at the library.

If you have any questions about my work, please feel free to contact me.
